Recall of Senator Dino Melaye Gathers Momentum in Kogi West Senatorial District

The recalls of Sen Dino Melaye from the National Assembly gathers momentum today, Friday in Lokoja and the rest 6 LGAs of  Kogi west.

Leaders and party supporters were seen yesterday mobilising voters with PVC across the city of Lokoja for the exercise, commencing today

The people of the Senatorial district are said to be determine to make the exercise successful and met INEC requirements.

Among those who monitor and spoke with reporters in Lokoja, Koton Karfe, Kabba and Mopa said Sen. Dino's action in the Senate is unacceptable and has greatly embarrassed the entire people of Kogi West, the state and the entire country.
"Tomorrow (now today) exercise is a national call that every patriotic citizen most participates. We are tired of him, Dino suppose to be a PA to motor park chairman and not a Senator, he's presence there is nothing but absolute nuisance.
"The recall exercise is on course, there is nobody that can stop it, even the Jankara votes of confidence passed on him by certain distress politicians would not save him, the anger against him is everywhere in the state and the country" said one of the leader.

Although, the embattle Senator popularity has nose dive since assuming office two years ago over series of scandals involving the Senator.

On the prospects of meeting the constitutional requirements of recalling Sen Dino, a leader in Koton who by name Ibrahim Salisu Shabban said they are more than optimistic of getting over 80% of register voters in the Kogi LGA.

Another staunch supporters of APC from Yagba area said that in the first place the entire Okun land never voted for him knowing fully his immoral antecedent and for that, he has no sympathy in the area. He said tomorrow exercise is an opportunity for the people to recalled him back and elect a responsible person to replace the highly moral bankrupt Senator.

Meanwhile, there is palpable tension in the already disarray camp of Sen Dino fuelling speculation that he's discretely training militia to terrorise the state an allegation that is gaining ground amidst his imminent recall.
