Hon. Aboh Receives an award - James Mohammed

The youthful, student friendly and agile Administrator of Omala LG, HON. IBRAHIM YAKUBU ABOH has again received a prestigious recognition award from Omala Students Association, (O.S.A.) Kogi State Polytechnic Chapter, Lokoja.

Presenting the award on behalf of the students body, the President, Comrade Mohammed Halidu A. (Jogba) stressed that "so far, the Administrator has been outstanding and transparent in his dealings, especially his immense contribution towards the welfare of students, and we felt this should not go unnoticed, the reason for the prestigious recognition award".

The PRO of the Association, who also doubled as the National President of Ife Students Association, Comrade Jonathan Yahaya congratulated and extolled the council boss and urged him not to relent in his due diligence as they form part of what earned him the prestigious award.

Responding, the Chief Administrator, HON. IBRAHIM YAKUBU ABOH appreciated the student union for their foresight in identifying with hard work.their
Hon. Aboh said, "I was a student like you and I feel your pulse always. The best you can do for yourself while a student is to remain resolute, focused and committed to your studies. Shun all social vices that are inimical to your academic pursuit. Do not allow anybody to use you as a tool for actualising their selfish interest".

"What the award will do for me is to spur me into doing better. Together we can build a better Omala. Contribute your quota in whatever capacity and God will reward you", Hon. Aboh concluded.

The student body through their women leader, Habibat Suleiman (Magajiya) passed a vote of confidence on the Aboh's administration and promised  unalloyed support.

Group Declares Ajaokuta House of Representative Member Wanted

A socio-political group, Ajaokuta Youth Forum has declared the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Hon. Idris Lawal wanted. The group through her Spokesperson and Coordinator, Comrade James Mohammed noted that since the election of Hon. Idris into the House of Representative, he (idris) has not done anything that affects the lives of the people he is representing positively. The group alleged that Hon. Idris has no constituency office in the area.
“We hereby declare Hon. Idris Lawal, a member representing Ajaokuta Local Government at the Federal House of Representative wanted. It is nearly two years now, that our people out of negligence elected Mr. Lawal to represent us at the lower chamber and up till date Mr. Lawal is nowhere to be found. He has no constituency office in the area. We are declaring him wanted until he comes back home to do the needful. Since 2007 till date, Ajaokuta LGA has not witnessed good governance. We are retrogressing every year. Our people are suffering. No good road, no drinkable water, no social amenities. As I am talking to you now, the headquarters of the area (Adogo) has been in darkness for close to a year now. Mr. Lawal is just there eating our constituency allocation, putting the people in abject poverty and suffering. We are tired of keeping quiet. Our representatives are all criminals, selfish and greedy. They have no human feelings at all. This is the only local government that is privileged to produce her House of Representative member alone, not sharing with any other local government but yet, it is the worst local government in Kogi state. Representatives of other local governments are busy empowering their people while ours is busy doing nothing. Our people are regretting voting APC. If not for the efforts of Governor Yahaya Bello and Ajaokuta Local Government Administrator, Hon. Mustapha Akaaba in curbing insecurity in the area, Lawal has nothing to offer in terms of security and human welfare”. We are tired of all these archaic politicians who have nothing to offer to us” James said.
The group therefore urged the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC at the local government, state and national levels to call Hon. Lawal Idris to order as his actions and inactions are capable of causing doom for the party in 2019.
“2019 is at the corner, the people are wiser now. They wouldn’t be influence to vote for criminals again. Their N500 and N1000 wouldn’t give them votes again, let them come back home and work if they want to be voted for. APC should call their representatives to order, especially, Mr. Lawal Idris if not they may be shocked with the outcome of 2019 election in the local government”.

Ajaokuta: Group hails Governor Yahaya Bello over the appointment of Akaaba

A socio-political group, Ajaokuta Youth Vanguard has expressed her satisfaction with the recent appointment of Comrade Akaaba Mustapha as the caretaker chairman of Ajaokuta Local government.
The group describes Comrade Akaaba as a well known philanthropist and people’s comrade who has fought for the betterment of Ajaokuta citizens over the years.
The group commended Governor Yahaya Bello for the appointment, describing him as a true political gladiator who knows what to do, when to do it and how to do it.
The Coordinator of the group, Comrade James Mohammed, while expressing his satisfaction with the appointment of Comrade Akaaba on behalf of the group said, “Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has done well by appointing Comrade Akaaba Mustapha as the Caretaker chairman and Comrade Jibril Abu as the Caretaker Secretary of Ajaokuta Local Government Area. The governor is a man who knows what to do, how to do it and when to do it. I think the Governor has done the right thing. Comrade Akaaba Muhammed and Jibril Abu are the perfect men for the job at the moment”.
He therefore urged the caretaker committee to have the fear of God and bring dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots. He further urged them to bring a positive change to the people in order to achieve the New Direction Agenda of the state governor.

Enough is Enough: Group warns James Faleke

A Kogi-based socio-political group, Ajaokuta Youth Forum has warned James Faleke, a member representing Ikeja Federal constituency in the House of Representative to stay clear of Kogi state and deliver dividends of democracy to the people he is representing.
The group condemns the activities of Faleke in instigating the people against the incumbent Governor of Kogi state, Alh. Yahaya Bello after losing in the Tribunal, Appeal and Supreme Courts respectively.
The group alleged that Faleke is behind all the chaos going on in the state, noting that he (Falake) is the one sponsoring politicians and some Kogians against the governor.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Secretary of Ajaokuta Local Government, Hon. Jibril Abu, the coordinator of the group, Comrade James Mohammed noted that Faleke is yet to realize that his time is up in Kogi state.
“James Faleke should go and sit down and deliver dividends of democracy to his Ikeja people instead of gallivanting around the presidency only to gain cheap popularity. Faleke was never known to us in Kogi state until he was imported as the running mate to late Prince Abubakar Audu. He came as a deputy governorship aspirant and he lost the position out of greed. Then, he should face his people in Ikeja and leave us alone. His people in Ikeja are suffering and Faleke is going up and down sponsoring some irrelevant politicians and people in the state against a digitalized and new direction governor of Kogi state, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello. The earlier he realizes that his time is up in Kogi state, the better”. James said.
The group therefore called on relevant authorities to call Faleke to order as his action is capable of causing disunity in the state.
“I am calling on relevant authorities from our indomitable party, the All Progressive Congress, APC to call Faleke to order because his action is capable of causing disunity in the party and the state at large”
