James Mohammed

A socio-political group in cross river state; Cross River Youth Initiative (CRYI) has expressed her satisfaction on the dividends of democracy recorded so far in your administration.
The group describes all the projects as an uncommon transformation and a welcome development to the people of the state.
The group also commends Governor Ben  Avade  for the development, describing him as a true political visionist and a gladiator who knows what to do, when to do and how to do it.
The coordinator of the group, Comrade Effiom Okon, while expressing his satisfaction on the uncommon development in the state, said; “the governor is a man who knows what to do, when to do and how to do it; despite having the most bloated government with over 4,000 appointees as one of the state collecting the lowest federal allocation in Nigeria, yet the governor is embarking on gigantic projects of such magnitude, i think the governor has done the right thing”.
“Without mincing words together, permit me to mention some of his projects that was commission by the acting president; Prof. Osinbanjo on his visit to the state and those that are on course, these includes; the ongoing rice city cited along Goodluck Ebele Jonathan bypass which the governor disclosed that the project will be a training school with a refectory and accommodation facilities to cater for the youth who want to be specialists in rice production. it will also be a centre for the certification of skilled personnel” Okon continued.
Okon added that the governor has also made provision to recruit an additional one thousand (1000) personnel in the state garment factory in order to boast production and also put food on people`s table.
“In the area of infrastructure which is the bedrock of development, the governor has test runs the first ultra-modern monorail in west Africa which shuttle from Calabar international conference center(CICC) to the Tinapa business and leisure resort and also determined to extend the facility to the Margaret Ekpo international airport in order to ease congestion in the city center which is a transformation that is very uncommon to other governors” Okon added.
“The super high way is another infrastructural project which takes its origin from the foot of the deep seaport located at Bakassi local government area running through the forest of Akpabuyo, Odukpani, Akampa, Biase, Yakurr, Obubra, Etung, Ikom, Boki, Obudu, Bekwarra and connected to others state like Benue, Taraba, Adamawa and terminated at Borno border with Cameroon. This project particularly, is a project that will make cross river state a home and destination of international investment’.
“In the area of power, Governor Ayade is constructing a two megawatts power plant across the 18 local government area in the state.the project is a combination of both renewable and nonrenewable energy sources as the state will be using solar during the day and gas at night and it will be the first solar power project to be undertaken in the south-south of Nigeria at commercial scale”.
“In the area of security, governor Ayade recently ensured that normalcy has returned to cross river state following the misunderstanding between the Nigerian police force (NPF) and the Nigerian Navy (NN).
Okon concluded that with this development, governor Ayade has really showcase a spirit of maturity in the handling of government sensitive issues as he praised the governor for setting-up a special task force called the “GREEN POLICE” to guide against abusive degradation of forest and control poaching in the reserve forest and this as lead to recruitment of more than 1000 youths in the state.
Looking at the development recorded so far by the governor in the state, Com. Effiom Okon urge all the political appointees and representatives in the state and federal to emulate the footsteps of the governor because an administration spent in sustainable development is not only more honourable but more useful than an administration spent doing nothing. The group also pledges her support for the governor second term ambition.
